After getting his first drum kit at 12, he began playing in rock bands in junior high. His biggest influence has been his drum instructor, Walter Salb, who taught Mark many genres including jazz & swing, blues, country, and r&b. Mark has gained experience playing these many styles in bands. Since moving to the Baltimore area, mark has played with classic rock bands Partners In Crime and Against The Grain.

Although he owns many drum kits, one of Mark's many goals is to have a drum kit in every room of his home.

Raised in Montgomery County, Mark is a big Washington Redskins fan and has attended many games at RFK Stadium. He now lives and works in Ravens' territory, northern Anne Arundel County.
